Oildown – Grenada’s national dish

The is no other dish that can get a Grenadian fired up than this! It matters not the day time or the hour – a Grenadian will track down an Oildown. Oil down is the humble, one-pot, national dish of Grenada. It’s a hearty, savory stew of the chicken and dumpling variety that gets its name from the oil that emerges from coconut milk as it cooks.
